International Adoption:
LSI is licensed to conduct home
studies and provide post-placement visits and reports for
families working with accredited
international adoption agencies. Fees are assessed according to the
requirements of the study and country. Home study and post-placement
services are available upon request.

Domestic/Private
Adoption:
LSI is licensed to conduct home studies for persons planning to adopt children
through private sources, such as an attorney, or who are working with an accredited
adoption agency to facilitate an inter-country adoption. LSI provides post-placement
visits and reports following placement. Such visits and reports are required
by state law to finalize adoptions. Home study and post-placement fee schedules
are available by request.

Special
Needs Adoption:
LSI may provide home study and post-placement services for persons interested
in adopting children with special needs including sibling groups, children
with physical, emotional or mental challenges, minority children age two and
older and Caucasian children age eight and older. The State of Iowa subcontracts
with LSI.
