You can make a difference! Introducing the Faith, Hope & Service Project
Lutheran Services in Iowa is proud to launch a one-year campaign to raise $4.7 million for a new Spiritual Life Center on the Bremwood residential treatment campus. Built solely with donated funds, this 24,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility will serve as the Spiritual Life Center for the 118 children that are served in Waverly. These at-risk children come from throughout Iowa for treatment of behavioral and/or emotional issues which stem from abuse and neglect.
This Spiritual Life Center will have three components:
FAITH
The chapel area will provide space for worship and other spiritual life activities, which is vital to the success of those we serve as we provide Christian care.
HOPE
The multi-purpose area will provide space for meeting rooms, training purposes and community and volunteer involvement.
SERVICE
The service area will provide office space for those that work directly with our children and families. New clients will come to this center for therapy and treatment services. The administration offices will also be relocated to this building from our temporary location.
Bishop Ullestad, Bishop of the NE Iowa Synod of the ELCA, offers a vision of the center:
