Endowment Campaign
The Celebrating Tradition. Building Futures. endowment campaign is a five-year campaign to support the mission and long-term vision of LSI through the growth of its endowment fund. Our campaign goal of raising $12 million by 2015 would increase LSI’s endowment to $20 million, giving LSI the stability and strength to become an even more prominent leader in providing human services to Iowans.
Now is the Time
LSI is here for those in need and the Celebrating Tradition. Building Futures. endowment campaign ensures that LSI can boldly fulfill its mission of compassionate service. Our goal is to increase the financial stability of the organization, guarantee future generations a path to health, hope and healing, and ensure that its mission continues for the most vulnerable people in our society.
While LSI is a financially strong organization, the volatility of the economy increases our agency’s need to become more self-sufficient. Nearly 80 percent of LSI’s funding for programs and services is currently provided by state and federal government resources. As our state continues to struggle to balance the budget, critical funding for essential services to children and families are at risk. LSI must adapt and develop new and innovative funding streams to survive and to ensure these services will remain for all Iowans.
