Beginning a new journey with LSI

I began the position as director of services for people with disabilities (SFPD) three and a half years ago.  It has been a great place for me to be these past several years, and I am forever grateful for all of those I have had the opportunity to meet and learn from. It has been a tremendous voyage.

I now have a new journey to embark on as I begin the new role as vice president of programs and services here at LSI. What better time to start this new journey than in the spring. As it is said, spring is a time to start anew!

I am pleased to announce that we have already filled the director position. Lauren Hansen has accepted this role and is looking forward to her new responsibilities.

Lauren has her MSW from California State University and her BSW from Plymouth State University. Lauren has been employed at LSI for five years and has an extensive background in disability services. She is currently the statewide manager for hourly SCL and respite services for SFPD. Prior to the manager position, she was SFPD’s continuous quality improvement partner.

Lauren and I look forward in continuing our service to LSI and with all of you.

Peace,

Cheryl A. Plank
Vice President of Programs and Services
