Become a volunteer mentor
(Children ages 5-13 in Ames and 12-18 in Waverly)

Mentoring lets residents at Lutheran Services in Iowa’s Bremwood and Beloit Residential Treatment Centers know that someone cares about them. As a volunteer mentor you will meet with the child you’re paired up with on a regular basis, providing appropriate, healthy activities and maintaining agreed upon contact with youth on a regular basis. Think back to when you were a child. Do you remember looking for a job? Did you need someone to talk to? Did you have a question about school? Simple things that seem easy now may be areas where a young person needs guidance. Become a mentor and make a difference in the life of a child.
